Short version: this website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third parties. Data only flows when you write to us or join.
Controller

Until the LangOps Association e.V. is entered in the register of associations, he acts as controller for this website, the community LangOps Pros and all memberships. The association takes over this role once it is registered.
Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, under a data processing agreement. When you open a page, the server records your IP address, date and time, the page requested, referrer and browser type. We need this to deliver the site and keep it secure (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Logs are deleted after seven days at the latest.
No cookies, no tracking, no external content
The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, social plugins or fonts from external servers. Interactive features such as the maturity self-check and the search run entirely in your browser; your answers are neither stored nor transmitted. The link to your self-check result contains your answers only if you share it yourself.
E-mail and forms
The contact, membership and newsletter forms open your own e-mail program. We process what you send to answer your request, to administer your membership or to send the newsletter you asked for (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (a) GDPR). You can withdraw newsletter consent at any time.
Community, courses and payments
LangOps Pros, the courses, the membership checkout and the newsletter run on Circle, operated by Circle.so, Inc., USA. Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Ireland. Data reaches these providers only when you follow a link to the community or pay; their own privacy policies apply there. We use them to perform our contract with you (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Transfers to the USA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU standard contractual clauses.

Links to Amazon, langops.institute, langops.org and other sites are plain links. Nothing is sent to these sites until you click.
Retention
We keep membership and invoice data as long as the membership lasts and as long as commercial and tax law requires (up to ten years). Enquiries are deleted once they are settled.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR), and you can withdraw consent with effect for the future. You may complain to a supervisory authority, for example the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin.
