A non-profit home for Language Operations
Organisations depend on language more than on almost any other resource, and they manage it less than almost any other. The association changes that with a shared body of knowledge, open standards and a community that turns a practice into a profession.
How we decide
- General Assembly
- All ordinary members, one vote each. Elects the Steering Committee and ratifies standards.
- Steering Committee
- Seven seats for enterprise, language services, technology, language professionals, academia and two at large. Sets strategy and appoints the board.
- Board
- Chair, Vice-Chair and Treasurer run the association day to day.
- Advisory Board
- Senior advisors from across the field, without vote.
- Working groups
- Write the standards in the open.
